Welcome to Mulbarton Sports Blog

Mulbarton have had a lot of sporting events since September.
The Schools Sport Partnership Football Development League started in October and we had two teams in each 3-4 and 5-6 groups.
I witnessed some magnificent goals, excellent defending and some brilliant passing in midfield.
Year 5-6 won their league trophy, the other team were runners up. I have to thank both goalkeepers Max and Gilby for keeping clean sheets for all their games.
In year 3-4 both teams finished runners up but, only one point difference prevented the bold team from winning. They both worked incredibly hard considering it was their first time for the year three boys.
A big thank you to the parents for coming along and supporting us.
Well done year 5-6 for winning the FDL 2019

In early October over 80 pupils took part in the SSP Cross Country Event.
Year 2 took part for the first time and Jude Fogarty beat over 100 other pupils to win the 1200 metre race.
Years 3-5 ran 1400 metres and were amazing with 10 pupils going through to the County Finals in March.
Another fantastic day for Mulbarton all the pupils had a great time and even managed a big smile when crossing the finish line,Mrs Kaszczak had a few tears in her eyes witnessing their resilience throughout the day.
December saw the girls having their chance to play football. Year 5 were first and had a very hard group. 20 teams entered this year and our girls just missed out on a County Final place.
Year 3-4 were next and with two teams entered we played some great football considering it was their first time playing football competitively. Just 1 goal conceded meant the girls missed out on a County Final place, but so much respect to this group of girls
for never giving up.

Welcome back.  Last Wednesday, saw year 5/6 at the Sportspark  for the final round of foot ball games. My team had one game and a very important one at that. We had to beat Hethersett to finish first. A very tight game which saw chances from both teams. It finished 0-0 unfortunately we finished runners-up ,missing out by just one point. This amazing team has won the trophy two years in a row and did not lose a game in these three rounds. A big thank you to all the parents who have come along and supported the team. Another thank you to Mr Grant for stepping in as manager. It has been an absolute joy to manage this team, a final thank you to ; Gilby,Samuel,Nicholas, CJ ,Jesse,Sonny,Oliver,Daniel and Alfie. Mr Lawrence's team had two games to play on this final round. First up was Hetersett  the current leaders. The team had many chances at goal and were unlucky not to score.  It finished 4-0 to Hetersett but the team had one more game to finish runners up. Up ag...
Round 2 of the basketball league. Mr Lawrence's team played two games, one friendly and one league game. A tough game against St Francis resulted in a heavy loss however, Kade did score a couple of baskets to keep their confidence up for the next game which they drew. The team played very well and look forward to the next round. Mrs Bidder's team also suffered a defeat to Hethersett. A close game though, Samuel and Jude got on the scoresheet and were unlucky as Hethersett narrowed the gap in the dying seconds. Their second game against West Earlham was a tight one. Samuel was sharp again scoring two baskets. Kayden and Gilby were excellent at defending. We just lost by two points making it a really close game. Well done both teams for not giving up! Wednesday March 4th saw the Cross Country County Final. I took 6 pupils in years 3&4. Thomas, Nymeria and Jude it was their first time here. For Logan, Alfie and Chloe this was their second time. All six ran exceptionall...
