Round 2 of the basketball league. Mr Lawrence's team played two games, one friendly and one league game. A tough game against St Francis resulted in a heavy loss however, Kade did score a couple of baskets to keep their confidence up for the next game which they drew. The team played very well and look forward to the next round. Mrs Bidder's team also suffered a defeat to Hethersett. A close game though, Samuel and Jude got on the scoresheet and were unlucky as Hethersett narrowed the gap in the dying seconds. Their second game against West Earlham was a tight one. Samuel was sharp again scoring two baskets. Kayden and Gilby were excellent at defending. We just lost by two points making it a really close game. Well done both teams for not giving up! Wednesday March 4th saw the Cross Country County Final. I took 6 pupils in years 3&4. Thomas, Nymeria and Jude it was their first time here. For Logan, Alfie and Chloe this was their second time. All six ran exceptionall

A big congratulations to Year 3 for winning the Football Development League Trophy last Wednesday. The team did not concede  a single goal in all their games.  They also scored 13 goals. Brilliant play throughout the 3 rounds from all the boys and some spectacular goals on the final day. Two wonderful long range shots from Sam sealed their victory in the final game. William and Jude also scored spectacular goals aided by Thomas and Issac. A big thank you to all the parents who supported us. Year 4 were very unlucky not to come back with a trophy. They also played brilliantly throughout the 3 rounds. A single goal from St Francis sealed their victory. We had many chances but, the ball just didn't want to go in the back of the net for them. Year 6 started their basketball games last night. Mr Lawrence's team had two friendly games and won the first game 2-0  ,the points coming from Kade. Their second game was a lot harder and the team lost 16-2 but it was only a friendly. K
Welcome back.  Last Wednesday, saw year 5/6 at the Sportspark  for the final round of foot ball games. My team had one game and a very important one at that. We had to beat Hethersett to finish first. A very tight game which saw chances from both teams. It finished 0-0 unfortunately we finished runners-up ,missing out by just one point. This amazing team has won the trophy two years in a row and did not lose a game in these three rounds. A big thank you to all the parents who have come along and supported the team. Another thank you to Mr Grant for stepping in as manager. It has been an absolute joy to manage this team, a final thank you to ; Gilby,Samuel,Nicholas, CJ ,Jesse,Sonny,Oliver,Daniel and Alfie. Mr Lawrence's team had two games to play on this final round. First up was Hetersett  the current leaders. Girl's 3-4 Football Tournament. Yesterday we took 2 teams to the UEA for an energetic afternoon of football. Nine of the girls had not participated before but were absolutely fantastic. They played 4 games in round 1then, another 4 in round 2,  to see if they went through to the cup or plate play offs. Year 4 team were first in their group so proceeded into the cup play off. Year 3 were third, and so went on to the plate play off. Meghan & Anna- May scored twice, Florence, Millie & Imogen all scoring three and Chloe scored 4. These girls did not lose a game throughout the afternoon. Victoria also made several great saves to ensure several clean sheets. They came third out of sixteenth and were unlucky not to qualify for the County final. They all played some outstanding football so a very well done to you all. Year 3/4 Football @UEA Last Wednesday, the boys had two games each. Mr Lawrence's team who could not make it, but  Mr Phillis kindly stepped in and was amazing. They played Cringleford and although they lost 2-0 played some very good football. This was only a friendly so we also gained some experience on team tactics for next time! Their other friendly against Notre Dame was called off due to low numbers . My team played against St Francis. A very tight game with a 1-1 draw. CJ played a great cross to Jesse who scored his fifth goal of the tournament. Gilby also kept us in the game with some fantastic saves. Our second game was against Hethersett. This was a friendly but both teams played like it was a Champions League Final. Fantastic defending from Sam & Nic ensured it was a very tight 0-0 final score . Well done to both teams, final round on Jan 15th. A very big thank you to Mr Phillis as well. It was also great to see parents supporting the teams, thankyou to all.
