Basketball

On Thursday year 6 played their final games of the basketball tournament. Both teams were put in the same league after round 1 as their were 15 school teams taking part. Both teams won their final games and Lloyd's team finished runners up in league 1. Kieran's team finished  third with both teams only losing to the eventual winners St Francis.Another excellent performance from both teams.
Congratulations to Riley Bell, Daniel Kaszczak and Lloyd Slaughter who successfully qualified for the County basketball team, another amazing achievement for the boys and all of us at Mulbarton are extremely proud of you all.

Friday was the swimming gala. Mulbarton entered 13 pupils in 4 different strokes. All  results are on the SSP Norwich website. Nicholas, Colby, Joshua and Henry all won their races. Isabella .C narrowly missed out on first place. For many of these 13 it was their first gala. I was very proud of all their placings and a very big thank you to Isabella Parry and Alexander Warnes who swam in all four races, they did the school proud!
The pupils were very lucky to have had a big parent support, we all heard you encouraging the team and it really helped them.

Welcome to Mulbarton Sports Blog

Mulbarton have had a lot of sporting events since September. The Schools Sport Partnership Football Development League started in October and we had two teams in each 3-4 and 5-6 groups. I witnessed some magnificent goals, excellent defending and some brilliant passing in midfield. Year 5-6 won their league trophy,the other team were runners up. I have to thank both goalkeepers Max and Gilby for keeping clean sheets for all their games. In year 3-4 both teams finished runners up but, only one point difference prevented the bold team from winning. They both worked incredibly hard considering it was their first time for the year three boys. A big thank you to the parents for coming along and supporting us. Well done year 5-6 for winning the FDL 2019 In early October over 80 pupils took part in the SSP Cross Country Event. Year 2 took part for the first time and Jude Fogarty beat over 100 other pupils to win the 1200 metre race. Years 3-5 ran 1400 metres and were amaz

Welcome back.  Last Wednesday, saw year 5/6 at the Sportspark  for the final round of foot ball games. My team had one game and a very important one at that. We had to beat Hethersett to finish first. A very tight game which saw chances from both teams. It finished 0-0 unfortunately we finished runners-up ,missing out by just one point. This amazing team has won the trophy two years in a row and did not lose a game in these three rounds. A big thank you to all the parents who have come along and supported the team. Another thank you to Mr Grant for stepping in as manager. It has been an absolute joy to manage this team, a final thank you to ; Gilby,Samuel,Nicholas, CJ ,Jesse,Sonny,Oliver,Daniel and Alfie. Mr Lawrence's team had two games to play on this final round. First up was Hetersett  the current leaders. The team had many chances at goal and were unlucky not to score.  It finished 4-0 to Hetersett but the team had one more game to finish runners up. Up against Lakenham
