Basketball

On Thursday year 6 played their final games of the basketball tournament. Both teams were put in the same league after round 1 as their were 15 school teams taking part. Both teams won their final games and Lloyd's team finished runners up in league 1. Kieran's team finished  third with both teams only losing to the eventual winners St Francis.Another excellent performance from both teams. Congratulations to Riley Bell, Daniel Kaszczak and Lloyd Slaughter who successfully qualified for the County basketball team, another amazing achievement for the boys and all of us at Mulbarton are extremely proud of you all. Friday was the swimming gala. Mulbarton entered 13 pupils in 4 different strokes. All  results are on the SSP Norwich website. Nicholas, Colby, Joshua and Henry all won their races. Isabella .C narrowly missed out on first place. For many of these 13 it was their first gala. I was very proud of all their placings and a very big thank you to Isabella Parry and Alexande

Busy Sports Week.

Last week, Mulbarton had a busy sporting events calendar .First up, the year 1 boys who were  invited by Norwich Community Sports Foundation to take part in a series of  mini 4 a side football games at Colney, Norwich FC training ground. Mrs Jack reported back that the boys behaved outstandingly and witnessed some amazing football skills! Team work  Well earned rest!

Cross Country County Finals.

Last Wednesday, ten pupils from Mulbarton took part in the cross country county finals at Holkham Hall. Over 640 runners from 158 schools came together to take part. Our ten runners all ran with over 80 other runners in their year group and ran magnificently. Alfie Farrow came 8th, closely followed by Logan Moore who came 15th, this was their first time at the county finals running 1000m and did the school proud! Chloe Munn came 20th and Millie Hyde came 39th, again this was the girls first county final.A n amazing achievement from the year 3's. Cherie Buckley and Isabella Challis ran 1200m, with over 80 other runners finishing 36th and 38th respectively. Another fantastic finish. Jessie Bradford, Daniel Sutcliffe and Samuel Wheeler ran 1400m and ran a very competitive race again with over 80 other runners. Jessie finished 34th, Daniel 39th and Samuel 43rd. Holly Farrow was the only year 5 girl and she made it look easy .Holly crossed the line smiling even though sh
