Football is back again!
Year 5-6 kicked off the first round of the football development league at the UEA.
Mr Lawrence's team played two games. They won the first 1-0 with a perfectly timed goal from Liam Sutcliffe. Their second game was a draw. A great start for the team.

Mrs Bidder's team also won their first game 1-0 with a great goal from Jessie Bradford.
Their second game was also a good result winning 3-1, again three more goals from Jessie but, also excellent teamwork to secure the win.

Yesterday saw the annual cross country event at Earlham Park.
We had 78 pupils taking part and ran amazingly well.
Seven pupils made it through to the county final. Year two pupils ran for the first time and were fabulous ,none of them stopped though and were a credit to the school.
A very big thank you to the parents who helped us yesterday!
Photos coming soon.

Welcome back.  Last Wednesday, saw year 5/6 at the Sportspark  for the final round of foot ball games. My team had one game and a very important one at that. We had to beat Hethersett to finish first. A very tight game which saw chances from both teams. It finished 0-0 unfortunately we finished runners-up ,missing out by just one point. This amazing team has won the trophy two years in a row and did not lose a game in these three rounds. A big thank you to all the parents who have come along and supported the team. Another thank you to Mr Grant for stepping in as manager. It has been an absolute joy to manage this team, a final thank you to ; Gilby,Samuel,Nicholas, CJ ,Jesse,Sonny,Oliver,Daniel and Alfie. Mr Lawrence's team had two games to play on this final round. First up was Hetersett  the current leaders. The team had many chances at goal and were unlucky not to score.  It finished 4-0 to Hetersett but the team had one more game to finish runners up. Up ag...
Quad Kids Event On Friday 24th May, Mulbarton entered 40 pupils from year 3-4 to take part in 60m run, 400m run, standing long jump and vortex howler throw. I have to say how fantastic they all were. They challenged themselves in every event and some recorded a personal best. The 400m was the race they all were quite worried about but, every one of our pupils did not give up and finished the race with pride. In the afternoon ,it was year 5-6 who broke many records for running and throwing. Again they tackled the events with style, their races were slightly longer 80m and 600m  but, excelled in both. Year 3-4 came third and just missed out on a county final, year 5-6 came sixth. A brilliant day, thank you so much for representing Mulbarton and making me very proud to be a part of it!
