Cross Country County Finals.

Last Wednesday, ten pupils from Mulbarton took part in the cross country county finals at Holkham Hall.
Over 640 runners from 158 schools came together to take part.
Our ten runners all ran with over 80 other runners in their year group and ran magnificently.
Alfie Farrow came 8th, closely followed by Logan Moore who came 15th, this was their first time at the county finals running 1000m and did the school proud!
Chloe Munn came 20th and Millie Hyde came 39th, again this was the girls first county final.A

n amazing achievement from the year 3's.
Cherie Buckley and Isabella Challis ran 1200m, with over 80 other runners finishing 36th and 38th respectively. Another fantastic finish.
Jessie Bradford, Daniel Sutcliffe and Samuel Wheeler ran 1400m and ran a very competitive race again with over 80 other runners. Jessie finished 34th, Daniel 39th and Samuel 43rd.
Holly Farrow was the only year 5 girl and she made it look easy .Holly crossed the line smiling even though she had a stitch, finishing 23rd.
I was so proud of all the runners as they competed against the best in the county and their placings were very high. An absolute pleasure to watch and were a credit to Mulbarton.
A big thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came to support the children.

Welcome to Mulbarton Sports Blog

Mulbarton have had a lot of sporting events since September. The Schools Sport Partnership Football Development League started in October and we had two teams in each 3-4 and 5-6 groups. I witnessed some magnificent goals, excellent defending and some brilliant passing in midfield. Year 5-6 won their league trophy, the other team were runners up. I have to thank both goalkeepers Max and Gilby for keeping clean sheets for all their games. In year 3-4 both teams finished runners up but, only one point difference prevented the bold team from winning. They both worked incredibly hard considering it was their first time for the year three boys. A big thank you to the parents for coming along and supporting us. Well done year 5-6 for winning the FDL 2019 In early October over 80 pupils took part in the SSP Cross Country Event. Year 2 took part for the first time and Jude Fogarty beat over 100 other pupils to win the 1200 metre race. Years 3-5 ran 1400 metres and were amaz
Welcome back.  Last Wednesday, saw year 5/6 at the Sportspark  for the final round of foot ball games. My team had one game and a very important one at that. We had to beat Hethersett to finish first. A very tight game which saw chances from both teams. It finished 0-0 unfortunately we finished runners-up ,missing out by just one point. This amazing team has won the trophy two years in a row and did not lose a game in these three rounds. A big thank you to all the parents who have come along and supported the team. Another thank you to Mr Grant for stepping in as manager. It has been an absolute joy to manage this team, a final thank you to ; Gilby,Samuel,Nicholas, CJ ,Jesse,Sonny,Oliver,Daniel and Alfie. Mr Lawrence's team had two games to play on this final round. First up was Hetersett  the current leaders. The team had many chances at goal and were unlucky not to score.  It finished 4-0 to Hetersett but the team had one more game to finish runners up. Up against Lakenham
